Road Service Technician

$23-38/hr based on experience
Absolute Repair, part of the Merx Truck & Trailer family is a Heavy Duty Diesel Vehicle Repair, Body and Frame Repair. We have two locations in the Des Moines Area, Altoona and Cumming. We are social and creative. We are the only Trans Air Manufacturing dealer in a 3-state area.
Absolute Repair located in Cumming is looking for a full-time Road Service Technician with the option of overtime.

Uniforms are provided and a $500 per year tool reimbursement.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
- Main focus is on road service work.
- Corrects vehicle deficiencies.
- Making adjustments and alignments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an EPA Certification 609 for mobile air conditioning.
Requirements:
- 3 years of basic heavy duty repair experience
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing in excess of 60 pounds.
- Working within a service garage setting. Dexterity, skill, adeptness, and speed in the use of fingers and hands for repetitive operation of computer equipment. Ability to calculate simple mathematical equations. Heavy phone usage, talking with customers. Exposure to noise, dust, cleaning solvents, and exhaust fumes.

Reports to: Shop Manager
Hours: This position is for day shift 7:30 AM to 4 PM Monday-Friday.
Hourly Rate: $23-38/hr based on experience.
